The Commission shall be vested with full and complete power, authority, and responsibility Such authority and responsibility shall include the purpose of promoting community economic development, conventions, industrial advertising, tourism, and recreational activities.

Jackson-Madison County Airport Authority
McKellar–Sipes Regional Airport is a public use airport located four nautical miles west of the central business district of Jackson, a city in Madison County, Tennessee, United States. The Airport Authority board was jointly developed by the City and County to operate the airport facility. The seven (7) member board has all the powers that could be exercised by a municipality operating an airport except levying and collecting taxes or special assessments. T.C.A. 42-3-101-19.
Meeting Schedule
The Airport Authority meets on the 2nd Monday of each month at 5:00 pm at McKellar-Sipes Regional Airport, 308 Grady Montgomery Drive.

County Board of Equalization
Tennessee State Law created the County Board of Equalization to ensure that the property owners in all of the counties in Tennessee have access to an open, fair, and impartial hearing on their property tax assessment, valuation, and classification issues, as required by law.
Meeting Schedule
The County Board of Equalization convenes June 1st of each year and remains in session as necessary to complete the board's business.

West Tennessee Healthcare
The mission of Jackson-Madison County General Hospital District (hereinafter referred to as the "District"), as set forth in Chapter 686 of the Private Acts of 1949 (the "Private Act") is to provide, on a fee for-service basis with due regard for the needs of low-income and indigent patients, the full range of health care (including mental health), illness prevention and allied and incidental services and operations. Additionally, the District will seek to provide quality, compassionate health care and to accomplish this goal without tax support.
