Posted on 02/15/2022

JACKSON, Tenn. – The City of Jackson, TN is hosting a public meeting from 4:30-6:00 pm on Tuesday, March 1, to receive public feedback on the recently-released Public Participation Plan (PPP) and upcoming 2050 Long Range Transportation Plan (LRTP). City officials will also be sharing more about each of these documents, the Jackson Area Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO) as an entity, and Jackson’s transportation future, in the meeting. The meeting will be held virtually, with citizens able to watch, listen, and participate on the City of Jackson’s website and Facebook page. Citizens can register by clicking here.

“This public meeting is a tremendous opportunity to bring together a diverse group of voices to ensure the community’s input is received and incorporated into the creation of this plan,” said Jackson Planning Director Stan Pilant. “That kind of input is exactly what these documents have been created to help promote and facilitate.”
The PPP was released on February 1 and is currently available for public review and comment. Once the plan is approved, it will guide the LRTP development process.
